GBMC Health Partners is looking for a board certified/eligible gynecologist with fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery to join our busy sub-specialist practice. This is a hospital-employed full-time position at a large community hospital with a strong Women’s Service Line. The Department of Gynecology consists of employed and private physicians including general OB/GYN practices, Urogynecology, MFM, REI, and GYN/Oncology. The hospital also has strong established partnerships with General surgery/Bariatrics, Colorectal surgery, Urology, Hematology, and Interventional radiology.
Our Gynecologic Specialist Group consists of several fellowship trained Urogynecologists, a MIGS specialist, and a nurse practitioner. Our practice has expanded significantly, necessitating an additional surgeon to meet the needs of our large referral base. Our hospital serves as one of the main clinical sites for medical students, residents, and fellows from Johns Hopkins University. The core GYN physicians hold faculty positions within the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
Job Responsibilities/Required Qualifications:
- Board certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Completion of Fellowship training in MIGS and proficiency in management of complex gyn conditions, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and robotic surgery
- Eligibility for Medical License in Maryland
- No obstetric requirement.
- Shared practice call in addition to small amount of monthly general GYN home call currently shared by both private and hospital employed physicians supervising the first call OBGYN residents
- Interest in research, quality improvement/patient safety, and/or service on hospital committees highly encouraged but not required.
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and commitment to the provision of skilled, evidence based, patient-centered, and individualized care.
