Division Chief, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is seeking a full-time, academic gynecologic surgeon to lead our Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS).

Our department is well-known for providing equitable and comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. We are deeply invested in training the next generation of OBGYN providers, and provide surgical education and training for medical students, residents and fellows.

The candidate must demonstrate expertise and efficiency with minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, including experience with complex endometriosis and uterine fibroids. In addition, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated a commitment to scholarly work and research, educational excellence, leadership roles at the regional or national level, and an interest in growing the MIGS program.  The successful candidate will be well-positioned to lead our MIGS program and establish our fellowship. Ambulatory care and surgeries will take place both at the main campus in Boston, as well as our affiliate clinical sites and hospitals in the greater Boston area.

Academic appointment at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Applicants must possess an MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and have or be eligible to obtain a Massachusetts Medical License
  • Applicants must be board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Applicants must have completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) with a minimum of 5 years post training experience
  • Applicants must have demonstrated excellence in clinical care, education, and scholarship
