The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks to fill the position for the Division Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery & Gynecology.
The University of Texas Southwestern is the home of the largest residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and likely the busiest clinical program in the United States. We have over 100 faculty members, 209 classified staff, 72 residents and 16 fellows. The Department has a robust research program and excellent graduate and undergraduate medical education programs. The Department has faculty at both Parkland Health and Hospital system, which services a wide-ranging underrepresented patient population and William P. Clements University Hospital, which serves an insured, university-based population.
The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and providing evidence-based clinical care. Principal assignment will be to provide leadership of integrated programs in clinical care and investigations as a top priority for the department. This individual will oversee the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery & Gynecology and ensure the highest quality care for our patients, education to our students, residents, and fellows, and research to create the evidence for practice. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
Candidates must have a medical degree; completed an accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology, have completed an approved fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, and have attained or be eligible for Texas medical licensure and certification by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
